CLIENT HELP
Already a client?
We’re still here for you.
Find the next step for a payment question, a policy change, or a claim. Your insurance company handles policy transactions; Timmy can help you find your way.
01 / PAYMENTS & POLICY STATUS
A bill, a missed payment, or a coverage question?
Use the customer-service number or secure website shown on your policy or bill. Ask the insurer to confirm your payment status, any due date, and whether your coverage is currently in force.
- Have the policyholder’s name and policy number ready for the insurer.
- Make payments and bank-account changes through the insurer’s approved channels.
- If you missed a payment or received a lapse notice, contact the insurer promptly. The next steps depend on your policy.
Sending Timmy a message does not make a payment, extend a deadline, or restore coverage.
02 / UPDATE MY POLICY
Life changes. Your policy details should keep up.
Moved, married, welcomed a child, or changed your contact details? Ask the insurer for the right address, contact, ownership, or beneficiary-change process.
- Tell Timmy the type of change you need help with.
- Complete the insurer’s required forms through its approved channel.
- Ask for confirmation that the change has been recorded. Keep it with your policy.
Review beneficiaries after major life events and from time to time. Tell the people you name where to find the policy and how to contact the insurer.

03 / START A CLAIM
When your family needs the next step.
If someone has died, contact the insurer listed on their policy and ask how to start a life insurance claim. If you need help finding the right department, text Timmy.
- Ask which claim forms and documents the insurer requires.
- The insurer commonly needs a death certificate; follow its instructions for the type and number of copies.
- Submit documents directly through the insurer’s approved channel and keep copies for your records.
- Ask for a claim reference number and how to check progress.
The insurer reviews the claim and determines benefits under the policy. A message through this website does not file a claim.
General steps: Washington insurance regulator’s claim guide. State rules and policy requirements vary.
04 / FIND A MISSING POLICY
Not sure where a loved one had coverage?
The NAIC’s free Life Insurance Policy Locator can help search for a deceased person’s life insurance policies and annuity contracts. Participating insurers contact eligible beneficiaries if they find a match.
The locator is for someone who has died. It does not search for a living person’s policy, and a match is not guaranteed.
Open the NAIC Policy LocatorRead the NAIC’s instructions first. Enter any required identifying details only in the official locator.
